What's Between Your Legs?

My body is changing. I apply testosterone to my arm every day.

Suddenly, I have hair on my back. My hairline is receding. Everyone says, “I never would’ve thought you were trans!” Is that what makes me a man?

My own body image is in constant change. Isn’t that my real transition?

In this autobiographical graphic novel, queer trans man Patrick Krawczyk talks to past versions of himself that shaped him. It is a conversation with himself about the evolution of his body perception, identity, masculinity, and self-acceptance.

Patrick Krawczyk is an illustrator and animator based in Hamburg. Through his work and by sharing his own experiences, he aims to give greater visibility to trans* stories and create books that help people feel seen, understood, and less alone.

For many years, Patrick has explored themes such as identity, masculinity, and self-acceptance through his art. As a trans man himself, he knows what it means to have lived several different lives: from being perceived as a heterosexual woman, to identifying as a lesbian, and eventually becoming the queer trans man he is today.

With blurbs by Justin Hall (No Straight Lines) and Joris Bas Backer (Baumschatten, Kisses for Jet).
